Philosophy of Education

“Two there are who are never satisfied -- the lover of the world and the lover of knowledge.” - Rumi

My philosophy is based on discussionions I have had about the role of education in classroom environments, my personal reflections on successful teaching practices, and my personal belief in life-long learning. My philosophy draws from personal challenges as a student and as a tutor and draws from my experience in various learning environments. The summary of my philosophy emphasizes the need for education to cater to the diverse needs of a classroom full of students. The extended philosophy extends these ideas to incorporate tangible steps that can be taken to achieve these ideals. Additionally, the extended philosophy highlights the role of the school in fostering curiosity in order to encourage a life-long pursuit of knowledge in the students.
