Transcript
My transcript has my courses divided into my major, minor, and other courses. A common theme among the psychology courses I have taken is language. With psychology, I have taken theory and laboratory classes related language organization in the brain. This theme continues into courses in other fields, including pragmatic and language acquisition and ESOL instruction in the Education department, and five semesters of Arabic. Another theme that is of personal interest is cultural differences, which I have explored through comparative literature courses, and anthropology courses about the societies of the Middle East. My transcript is evidence of my passion for language learning and language instruction and reflects the diversity of approaches that I have taken towards this field.
Resume
My resume covers the work experience I have had related to education and to other activities. Youth empowerment, through education, is a project that I am passionate about and have been closely involved in. Through tutoring programs such as America Reads and Study Buddies, I have developed a strong belief in the power of education to alleviate lack of upward social mobility. Through my work with America Reads, Study Buddies, and the Hamilton College Community Outreach and Opportunity Programs, I have tried to unite my interest and experience in education with my passion for youth empowerment.
