"Khinkali," a Georgian Dumpling

According to Salome Kuchukhidze, a Georgian native, there are two stories that suggest the origination of khinkali.  One follows a young man who was in a fight and broke his teeth and therefore his sister made him a dish that was easy to chew.  An alternative story suggests that the wife of the leader of a mountain setting, called Khevisberi, may have been named "Khinda."
