My current resume builds on my transcript to show how I have obtained career related experience in the education field, how I have involved myself with the Hamilton community, and how I choose to spend my time outside of the classroom. I have been a committed member of the varsity volleyball team for four years, I have served as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), I have completed Hamilton’s Levitt Scholar Program (completing a project on genocide and the treatment of Native Americans), and I have been an Orientation Leader for Hamilton’s New Student Orientation twice. Most importantly, my resume highlights my most recent experiences volunteering in a classroom and working with children. As a camp counselor at Camp Jacobson at Robin Hood for two summers, an intern with the Arc, an education intern for South Bronx United, and a GED tutor at a BOCES program, I have had a very wide range of experiences that are highlighted on my resume. All of these experiences and activities have in some way or another influenced my personal philosophy of education by allowing me to experiment with different educational settings and figure out what I enjoy doing. By dipping my fingers into different settings and different areas, I have met many people and have been exposed to different occupations in the education field. I'm so grateful that I got to have such a wide range of educational experience because each and every one of them helped me to figure out my passions and what I'd like to dedicate my life to. Although I am not yet completely decided, I know I am passionate about improving urbad education and striving for educational equality nation wide thanks to my summer internship in the South Bronx.
